Still plucking away

Hey everyone, just putting a quick post to say I'm still pushing along with this outfit... I've got so much on the go that I haven't been able to concentrate on knitting much.

I've got the front of my sweater done and the back nearly, it's such a cute little thing. I love it so much I wish I was small enough to wear it.

I would show you pics, but my camera got stolen recently...

This is such a fun knit and I want to thank Oslofia again for putting this pattern together

Daniela's sweater is done!

Today I finished the Hello Kitty jumper at last. Overall, I am pretty pleased with the result. This was my first attempt at intarsia knitting and had to rip up the motif the first time halfway through, because I had not twisted the yarn properly. Thankfully, the jumper turned out quite large, so my daughter will be able to wear it next winter, now that spring is almost upon us. The next top will have to be a cotton mix.

Thank you very much for hosting such an inspiring and fun knit along! It made me pick up my kneedles after years and years of abstinence. I definitely caught the knitting bug again, and have already got myself enough yarn for quite a few projects.

Look forward to your next knit along!
Take care
Daniela

Daniella's sweater

Here's Daniella's first progress picture =)

Bonuspattern: Hello Kitty Poncho

Here's the secret bonuspattern item, which is a poncho. This picture is quite bad...but I'll try to post a better picture tomorrow. The bottom 'rows' has a pattern with hearts made up of purlknitting on stockinette knitting. I think that it could be nice to knit full white hearts as well, but I wanted a more plain poncho for me. I'll write up the pattern tonight, and I'll add some more tips for changing the pattern. Its made up with thick wool, so it took like two evenings to make it. That's the beauty with of thick yarn =)

I hope you have had/and will have a good time knitting up the patterns I designed for this knitalong. It has been fun to do this project as well as hosting the knitalong. I will most defiantly do something like this again in the autumn...and I will follow the progress on your knits =)

Take care, Oslofia

My bag is done

I loved the cable handle that Tami made...so I had to make one for me as well. It was nice to use blue...it has been too much pink on my behalf lately =)

Finished Hello Kitty Hand Bag

Hi I am Tami

Here is my finished Hello Kitty Hand Bag

I really like how it came out. Love the cable running along the edges. I embroidered the flower using variegated yarn I had in my stash.

Here is the bag inside out to show the Hello Kitty fabric lining I used. It is real silky. I found the fabric at Joann’s fabric. My husband commented the lining looks so good I could use the bag inside out also.

I think I'm done for awhile anyway.....

My Hello Kitty Hat is done! Esther received mittens and a heart purse from relatives so I may be done with Hello Kitty for awhile. Thanks Oslofia for this wonderful pattern. I know I'll make more pieces and probably more clothes as Miss E grows. I posted a picture of her with the sweater, hat and mittens at my site  Posted by HelloKnitting, Dogs and More. Take care All! Can't wait to see more Hello Kittys!
