The last knitters

I just wanted to say welcome to the new knitalongers that I've added to the list. I'm extremely stressed out at the moment since I'm moving next weekend, so please e-mail me if I haven't e-mailed you the patterns. Also include your 'list' name in the mail...because it is kinda hard for me to know who %¤&¤#@hotmail.com is =)
We're 55 knitter...that is more than I ever expected when I put this thing together. Good luck with your projects...I really look forward to see your Hello Kitty stuff =)

Hello!

Hello everyone, I can't wait to get started on this outfit. The parts that everyone's created so far look fantastic!

I'm such a Hello Kitty fan and just squealed when I saw this pattern. I know a newborn who doesn't really have any pink who'd look adorable in this outfit next year and I'd love to make some for myself as well.

A bit of an introduction.. I'm Saff, I'm 22, I come from Southern Ontario Canada and I've been knitting sparodically since I was 4... it really started becoming an obsession this summer and now I can't stop making things!

Thanks so much Oslofia for putting this together! Your 'baby' looks adorable!

The Hello Kitty Outfit

I'm finally done knitting the outfit...and I'm so happy that my extremely tired 'baby' allowed me to take LOTS of pictures of her tonight before she went to bed =)

Designing the Hello Kitty patterns for this knitalong has been so much fun...and it really amazes me that so many of you decided to join the knitalong before even seeing the finished design. I can't wait to see the stuff you're about to make...so please post pictures on the HK blog, or a link to where you've plublished it =)

My last task tonight will be to do the last adjustments on the patterns...and e-mail it to you guys. Good luck & Happy knitting =)

Done!

I finished my crocheted handbag! (*^^*)

Made by Chie

Yarn : Red Heart Super Saver (Country Rose, Claret, Aran, black, yellow).
Hook : US G7 (4.50mm).

I made a little change on the handle, plus I added reverse single crochet stitch edgings. (^^)

Thank you oslofia! I love the bag, and I enjoyed making this bag so much!

Mitten and legwarmer

Here's a mitten and a legwarmer. I will try them on my 'baby' tomorrow, and do the necessary adjustments. I actually had to measure her leg while she was asleep since I forgot to do it before she went to bed =)

Oh well...I'll do the final finish on the last patterns tomorrow night....and e-mail it to you guys =)

Sweater and hat

I finally managed to finish the sweater and hat (I just need to add a ribbon to the hat). My daughter really loves the kitty hat =)
I'll start on the mittens tonight, and I thought that I would just make 1 mitten and 1 legwarmer to start with. So hopefully I will have something to show you Sunday evening. The rest of the patterns are almost done now...and I will finish them off after I've made the mitten and legwarmer to see that the patterns are okay (hopefully by monday night).
Has anyone of you guys started anything yet?

Sweater - 1 sleeve

This is the sweater with 1 sleeve...in size 3 years. I thought that I would be done with the sweater this weekend...but no. To much going on =(
Anyways...I've gotten the sweater pattern edited back from Purlgurl. I'll try to send it to you earlt this week...so be prepared to do some serious yarn shopping =)
PS! The blogs member list is a kaos...since not all of you registered with your webnick or name. I'll try to sort it out to morrow. However, it would be helpful if you would e-mail me with the name you have on the knitalong list, so that I can see what e-mail you're using. Also, I need to know what of the items you're making (if it's not listed).

The Sketch

This was my initial idea for the Hello Kitty outfit that I made in December. I'm happy to see that the sweater is coming out ok...so hopefully the rest will too. Since I suspect that some of you just want to make the handbag for yourself (am I right or what?)...I made an additional pattern for a larger one that will suit an 'adult', of course with a HUGE Hello Kitty on it =)

I've been visiting some friends tonight, that has a 4 months old baby girl. I did some measuring on her...that cuuuute little thing. I will knit her the sweater and a hat along with you guys when we start up. I just thought that it would be sad to not participate in the knitalong myself after I finish up my daughters set!!! Have a nice weekend =)

Things are cooking =)

I've started my first sleeve, and I've written down the knitted handbag pattern. I've also made a crochet version of the handbag, so hopefully Chie will make that version of the handbag so that the rest of us can have a look on how it turns out =)

I've also posted some rules and guidelines. Please read trough...and get back to me if you don't want to participate in the knitalong. Could you also please e-mail me, or leave a comment here on what item/s you want to make? Thanks!!!!

Check this out...Hello Kitty Checks now Avail!!!
